Scrinch!!

Well now Penelope is upset with me because she figured what I got her..some computer thing…Its no secret by now that I am not a fan of christmas.  If were up to me I would probably not put a tree up even. I cant say exactly when I lost my christmas spirit,  she says I am selfish because I like opening gifts up..but you know I say she can take them back..too me they are just material items….Xmas gives me that gluttonous feeling its just one of those things with me…Penelope said  that I am miserable these days..I suppose that I am….its true that I am not as happy as I used to be but I suppose that happens til you find your groove…Ijust have to get my groove back somehow….Just a quick please Christmas go away..thought

Just a simple story – I once asked my husband why he didn’t give me Christmas gifts. He went in the other room, put a bow on his head, and said “because we have each other” and that’s all we need. I thought he just didn’t like buying presents.
When he died, I understood that he was my present, and that, in the end, all we really needed was each other.

I’m sure you will. Have a great holiday!

  5. Get back to your grove soon steve 🙂
    Merry Christmas to you 🙂

  6. Bah humbug! At this time of year I always re-read that Dicken’s classic, A Christmas Carol. Scrooge had it right: Christmas has become a commercial feast, devoutly to be ignored. Dickens wrote the story when he was badly in need of income, hoping for high volume sales. And he hit the target. Perhaps because his message still resonates: the modern trappings of Christmas, the shopping and buying, the post-Christmas sales aren’t important. Put those aside and we’re left with caring for the welfare of others. Ultimately the fault wasn’t in Christmas but in Scrooge’s view of the world.

Hopefully your own ghosts will help you get back in the groove.

Have a Merry Christmas, Happy Holiday & Happy New Year.
